Congratulations Combi!

Tonight was your Preschool Graduation. You were just so excited. You kept asking if you were going to be starting Kindergarten tomorrow. Fortunately you have one more year & I even get to be your teacher next year. How cool is that!

We celebrated by taking you to dinner at Sizzler. Totally random but you love shrimp so we thought that would be a perfect place for you. You ate every last bite & even had room for dessert.

We arrived just in time for you to get in line. I know it's only preschool but with 120 students, it feels more like a high school graduation. Plus it's held at Weber High. All of you did a beautiful job singing. It was so much fun to watch your energy when you sang.

You received your diploma & some parting gifts & off we went. Another year over.

I have to say you were pretty bummed that you didn't receive a pail like Ja-Ja did last year. I'll make sure your teacher next year gets you one!

Well my little graduate, I am soooo proud of you. You have grown so much this past year.

You started the year very shy & quiet & now you are becoming this confident young man. Speech class has assisted you immensely with that. At the beginning we were told that you would be in speech for at least 2 years but at your year end evaluation you tested at level & may only have a month of speech left to do. It's amazing!

I can't wait to see how you'll be doing next year!

The FrontRunner Experience

On Saturday, we decided to surprise the boys by taking them to the "big city" on the FrontRunner. It was pretty awesome. The boys loved it! It even has a bathroom for my little pee-a-lot boys. It doesn't get better than that.

We went to the Church History Museum, Temple Square & then saw the Joseph Smith movie. It was pretty sweet to watch that movie with them. Of course Ja-Ja felt it was too violent. Oh brother! We topped off the day by going to California Pizza Kitchen & then we caught the FrontRunner back home. All in all, an awesome day. My only complaint of the lovely FrontRunner is that it was pretty crowded on the way back but after Farmington it cleared out a bit.

Think of the possibilities of the Frontrunner. I can take it to Lagoon, the airport (someday), SLC... I'll never drive past Ogden again!

My Favorite Mother's Day Gift From Ja-Ja

My sweet little Ja-Ja came home from school today so excited about my Mother's Day gift. He spent the whole day asking if I wanted it yet. I kept telling him it was ok if I waited until Sunday but he was just too excited. So before bed, he pulled out this nicely wrapped gift (that he had hidden under his bed) & told me I could open it ONLY if I wanted to. The look on his face was enough to let me know that he REALLY wanted me to open it.

The gift was wrapped in pink tissue & on it was written "I Love You" with 2 hearts & a flower.

In it was a little booklet his teacher made. Each page had a sentence & the response of each student. So this is what he had to say about me.

My mom looks prettiest when... she goes out to eat

If my mom could do anything she wanted, she would... stay up late, really late

My mom's favorite dinner is... Taco Bell

I love my Mom because... she lets friends come over to my house

Now I have to mention that Ja-Ja's very good friend who comes over to play quite a bit loves his mom because she let's me go to a friends house. I wonder if they were sitting next to each other when the question was asked?

As for Taco Bell, I did frequent it quite often when I was pregnant with Jaycon Jones. Excuse me for having a craving!

The best part of this gift was watching his tense little face as I read his answers, hoping that he had answered everything correctly.

Ja-Ja,

Thank you. You did a great job answering those questions. I want you to know that these last few days I've seen a huge change in you. You've become this mature little dude who's always willing to help, doesn't complain & is always polite. I'm not sure where all this came from but I like it. You're probably tired of me telling you how amazing you've been but I'm just really impressed. Thank you for all that you do & for the wonderful example you are to our family. You rock!

Meet Our Made Up Animals

Awhile ago, Ja-Ja created this new car game with his friends. They each made up their own animal & they talk about what their animals are doing while we drive. Of course, now the whole family is in on the game so it's time that you meet our made up animals.

Ja-Ja's animal: The Fennec Fox

(Ja-Ja wants everyone to know that all these creatures you're about to meet are based on REAL animals)

Description: tan colored with pointed ears; blue eyes; sharp claws & its' ears can hear the slightest sound. The size of a chihuahua. it lives in Egypt, Utah & desserts.

Diet: eats bunnies, frogs, & rodents
Abilities: high jumper & fast runner; nocturnal; can defeat larger animals

Weakness: it can't climb very high

Combi's animal: Giant Brown Bear
Description: it's a big giant bear that is bigger than an airplane can fly. It doesn't have ears.
Diet: it can eat anything except baskets & CD's

Abilities: it can hear without ears. It can climb mountains. it can jump over mountains.

Weakness: it can't eat baskets

Jaycon Jones' animal: Red Octopus

Description: it's red with black eyes; it's as big as a car. it has sharp teeth

Diet: It eats scuba divers & it makes holes out of ships; it eats mountains

Abilities: it has strong arms

Weakness: it can't eat goats

Pooka's animal: Flying Monkey

Description: looks like your average chimp with wings like a bat. Don't let it's cute face fool you. It will dismember you the first chance it gets.

Diet: Any meat. Loves chocolate, hates anything green.

Abilities: It can fly long distances without rest. It also has invisibility powers. It uses that to sneak up on its' prey.
Weakness: Can't look into mirrors. It's own reflection can destroy him if it looks at himself too long. We don't know how long. It has never happened.

Culligula's animal:Giant Frilled Lizard

Description: it's the size of a crocodile

Diet: it eats meat

Abilities: it can fly

Weakness: it can't swim
